
Carol Lynley, born Carole Ann Jones on February 13, 1942 and died on September 3, 2019 she was an American actress who was best recognized for her roles in Blue Denim (1959), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and a New England mother. Before she became an actor, she started modeling as a child model. She won the Theatre World Award in 1956-57 for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her career in film in the year 1958 with her debut in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. It was followed by Holiday for Lovers (1959), and Blue Denim (1959). The film was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer Female. In the following year, she was nominated again for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer - Female.
